Why do I have to keep learning that democracy actually hinges on the decision of some random unelected office called the "deemster of congressional establishmentarianism" to continue inking his rubber stamp in black instead of blue.

So what I'm getting is we don't need to worry about will Mike Johnson refuse to swear in a new congress. If we're going to worry about anything it's will 88 year old Hal Rogers swear in a new speaker.
