Few things more inspiring than the TRS-80 MC-10 software emulation library at @archive.org - over 800 programs, some rather recently written, trying to squeeze every glowing drop of potential fun and old-style computer joy out of a powerless computer system. archive.org/details/soft...

The impression that I get from several sources is that the mc10 was radio shack trying to have an answer for the Commodore 64 and a couple other low-cost computers, but didn't really go full in on it and as a result it caved in between the sides of others.

Brilliant! Very nostalgic for me as we had a TRS-80 & I learned to type & code on it early '80s, using a book of scripts to write out the games before I could play them. 😄 Lost it all each time I switched off, ofc, because there was no memory, but so fun! Think it's still in parents' attic...

I love the idea of trying to fit newer concepts on older systems. Nintendo 64 Portal was that too. It shows that we leave behind machines that still had lot of opportunities left.
