I met the neighbor's doggo long before I met her. And both cats that live in the house behind me - still haven't met their humans. I'm okay with that.

When we first moved to our rural town my best friends were Jake (American pit bull terrier?) and Klutz (lab). They were also best buddies that wandered the neighborhood together and occasionally stopped by our house. I never met their humans.
