They make the floor too tacky. There needs to be a bit more slip to reduce the amount of torque guys can put on their joints and tendons. That's what's causing the injuries.

Shoes! These low top shoes are no supporting the players lower bodies the way they use to. Players aren’t taping their ankles wearing supports to compensate for the low tops and shoe designs… Players having too much pride to keep playing through injuries. 2 chances at a championship lost…

I agree that there’s nothing to suggest shoes are the problem. We certainly have some confirmation bias going on with these injuries. But, shoe innovations have been known to cause issues in the past. www.sneakerfreaker.com/features/ret...

I hope the players union finally starts to pressure to reduce the number of games of the season. A 82-games season is insane. Nobody wins when players are out from 6 to 12 months
