I think you are confusing his extreme unwillingness to admit he could be wrong about a thing, or to accept blame, with the normal human emotion of embarrassment.

In a well ordered republic, Trump would have been removed to a care home.

I don’t think that guy knows how to be embarrassed or he would have hidden under a rock ages ago.

It seems like he always did this, his thugs just used to be more under the radar. I mean, Michael Cohen used to scream-threaten people into submission all the time over Trump’s tender feelings. Now that his delusions, paranoia, and despotic power are escalating unchecked, it’s all very public.

He looks like shit.

Trump feels genuinely threatened by embarrassment, and he projects his feelings by criticizing or shaming others in an effort to shift the embarrassment, or he just flat-out lies in an effort to shift the blame.

If only being able to be shamed was contagious and would spread among the Republican Party.

narcissists react with fury when caught in a lie or when they cannot avoid a sense of humiliation. I wonder if he will nuke Iran in a fit of pique?
