This reads like bad faith rage-bait trying to cash in on angry Cavill fanboy clicks. Referring to fan fav Jaskier as “insufferable” and the politics of the Continent as “incomprehensible”? Really? I’ve seen the whole season, I thought Liam did a fine job, he brings a lovely warmth to the role.
I liked Jaskier (isn’t he supposed to be a bit insufferable?) but I thought Hemsworth was a really bad fit, precisely because he brings lovely warmth to a role where this really does not fit.
Respectfully, I disagree. The whole witchers are unemotional thing is in world propaganda. Geralt *is* supposed to have feelings and care and be emotional, especially in the later books, and I think Hemsworth does a good job with that.
After reading that, I get a sense of a reviewer _finally_ getting to vent his frustration with the series.
With Cavill's fans no longer blocking that path, an assault on the series' weaknesses comes with little risk.
