I started getting this on Instagram as an ad about 3 months ago. Always reported it as fake news, Meta went meh.

Your article doesn't explain properly that it is bait for a financial scam rather than political propaganda.

Sorry only because my mum and both my in laws have rung me up about similar clips, saying i say it, its a scandal and then even when i said its fake they wanted to believe it!! Thats the trouble, people only need to see what they want to believe nowadays, scary times.

Probably not :-/ Fake AI content still means user engagement and that’s ultimately what the platforms crave.

Perhaps Sir Keir should issue another heartfelt appeal to the tech companies and ask them nicely to stop distributing misinformation?! He could regulate and enforce, of course. 😏 But when your priority is avoiding offence — particularly to Trump — meaningful action becomes rather inconvenient.

And yet again, fuck AI.
