No, not at all. Faber can legally sell her books in the UK. What is a crime is for Faber to pay any money from the sales to her because the UK says that's "giving money to someone who supports terrorism". Faber pulled the books in protest of this injustice, they're on her side, here, not the UK's.

What a mess - by proscribing a group when they are clearly not what any reasonable person would see as falling within the scope of the terrorism law - rather than just charging its members under other existing laws - the government has painted itself into a corner of perpetual over-reach.

Isn't it weird how the Govt. prioritises what's unacceptable? A political party which represents what my father sat in a Spitfire to combat in the 1940's is OK, but an author who has a different interpretation of who international tyrants are, is penalised for her views. We've really lost the plot.

Ditto my dad served 5yrs in North Africa. Came back to a daughter that didn’t know him, a house mortgage that only the interest had been paid and when he went back to his old job he and his mates were told “were only giving you your jobs back because we have too.

Excellent point, Michael. As an ageing member of the 60's 'counter culture' (totally trashed by Thatcher), I'm, now an alien on planet Earth. Our 'hopes for great happenings' were sabotaged by the venally greedy, & a political regime which now borders on what my father flew a Spitfire against.

I'm sure she's lovely in person (and she is a great writer), but she doesn't do anything to dispel the notion that leftists are miserable, humourless jobsworths. Would it kill her to smile in photos every now and then?

The british government blocked publication of #PeterWright 's #Spycatcher but that ban just made the book more popular, selling loads in other countries, I got my copy from Ireland, but it was also available in scotland! So sell the books in Ireland where english has no standing.
