Political investigations are too slow to achieve anything. Fundamentally democracies need to be thinking really hard about this. The original Russia investigation took 2 years. The Farage £5m still hasn't reported back. Even if successful it takes too long to be effective.

Wishful thinking. If you think Trump isn’t going to use every means at his disposal to cling to office and obstruct any actions against him, you haven’t been paying attention for the last decade

Trump has serious competition now I believe, Talarico could be another success like Mayor Mamdani. Abdul El-Sayad is also another threat, he too addresses ordinary concerns. He may disregard high food and oil prices but the consumer is struggling.

If the US government should do just one thing, it's actually act like a government, but I won't hold my breath.
