After watching the Jay Clayton confirmation hearing for DNI, it seems Mr. Clayton, and many of the senators questioning him, don’t have a clear idea of what the DNI does, and what it shouldn’t do. Cheat sheet: get the IC agencies to work together: YES. Police elections: NO.

The questions put to Clayton about the elections is to address his moral character to be the DNI. Do we want another Trump sycophant using their role as DNI to serve the corrupt whims of the White House and its cabal of white nationalist losers?
