Post

Shout-out to George Lucas! I couldn't start with anyone else, could I? 😅 Thank you, George, for creating a universe that helped me through my youth, and which continues to be explored by the storytellers of our time. And which allows me to write lots of posts and long form. 😁

I can thank him for many friends I've made due to SW. Registering on a Star Wars message board 25 years ago turns out to be one of the best things I'd ever done.

I'm cheating by adding a second post for this first day. Shout-out to teachers and professors! You do so much to share knowledge and try to give young people a better outlook on life, in conditions that are often not easy, despite often being abandoned by political leaders. You are ignored heroes.🥰

As university professor… (sometimes can be hard)

Shout-out to Syd Mead (1933-2019), the neo-futurist designer who left his MASSIVE mark on sci-fi and has influenced many artists and works since, from Mass Effect to Spider-Verse to Alien Romulus, and even the upcoming The Fantastic Four: First Steps. This world wouldn't be the same without Syd.
