I loved that show as a kid so much. Bet I still would.

Watched Star Blazers every afternoon after school in fourth and fifth grades at Loring AFB, Maine. That was a never-miss show.

Still my favorite anime. Had a huge influence on me as a kid.

I already like the title changed to cosmoship instead of space battleship, or starblazers.

I've lost track of the storyline since the latest installments dont have a dub as of yet (This is not knocking subtitles!! I have dyslexia and it makes reading things on screen difficult!) But I thought they had fast forwarded the timeliness into the 3000s with the names of the new movies/OVAs

Its good, y'all

As "Starblazers" here in the US it was my first anime and set me firmly on the otaku path.

The Space Battleship Yamato 2199? That is simply an amazing remake. Visually, musically, and story-wise an amazing job.

I’ve probably said this before, but my late brother and I used to watch this (as Starblazers) together every morning before school. So seeing it come up on my feed gives me a good memory. 🧡

And I still know most of the words to the theme. I was obsessed over that show as a kid.

My all-time favorite anime.
