About six months ago, my old Philips mp3 player had some kind of firmware meltdown. No factory reset helped nor attempt to reload the firmware.

I still have my iPod and my entire music collection up to about 3 years ago on it. Sadly I've lost the ability to update it. But it's still a much trusted friend which doesn't promote music I'm not interested in nor spam me with ads.
