This is Doug Ford’s Ontario. Since September we’ve had a leaking ceiling. My classroom is bursting at the seams. I have to personally repair broken chairs and desks.There aren’t enough textbooks for students. The few Chromebooks we have are missing keys.

It worked. My humanities department was at first required to remove courses; then shrink, then remove programs; then no hires to replace retirees or dead colleagues, so no more coverage of areas. Then it had to merge with another, largely unrelated department to preserve at least something of both.
