I can’t remember the year, but probably Jr. High (now called “Middle School”), but a male teacher — unfortunately can’t remember his name — read us ‘The Count of Monte Cristo’ (by Alexander Dumas, released in chapters from 1844 to 1846). He did it yearly. Took all semester, as I recall. Mr. Jensen?

In highschool we had an economy teacher who would read from Godfried Bomans the last class before xmas or summer vacation. 44 years ago. I can still hear his voice when I read Bomans now. Thanks meneer Blauwendraad
