Bear in mind, in the UK (and most of Western Europe) we have 5 weeks paid vacation time as a legal minimum, even for minimum-wage staff. It's not *as big* of an expense, relatively speaking, compared to USians taking vacation time. OTOH these people absolutely are privileged & well-paid & arseholes.
