Someone made this exact mod (sans the character select screen) two weeks after this post, but I didn't know about it until today. I could have been playing Ring Racers But Good for over a year by now ;_;

one of my greatest desires is for someone to make a Ring Racers mod that adds back in SRB2K's handling model, gameplay mechanics, and character select screen

the same dev is also working on an SRB2K mod called BlanKart that adds support for Ring Racers content, it looks super promising and might be the definitive way to play once it's out
