🫵GRAMPA OTT SPOTTED I saw a whole clump of these guys growing feral on a roadside fence and. I mean good for them but also forced to accept that my ipomea’s are yet again going to bloom too late to give me seeds. “They’re such rigorous reseeders they’re basically a weed” oh no my grass is too green

Oh no longer plant dad. Plant grandpa. And an ott now? You crazy kids! Ugh yeah. The pain of the thing you don't want growing thriving while the native plants your trying to grow languish!

Sorry I meant the glory! I always think of purple purpurea as grandpa ott’s since that’s usually how they’re sold. I’m dealing with a bit of the opposite! My natives tend to do grand (no complaints there) but the ornamentals I’ve got potted or here and there, just can’t seem to get it together!

OH! Never heard them called that. Thank you for sharing. Most of my natives work out as well just a couple that I had high hopes for didn't make it this season. Only ornamentals I got this year were hyacinths and they did alright this year I think!

They actually look like that. Morning glories come in a variety of colors and are easy to grow but can become unruly if you don't keep them in check.

Oh well yes. Do you mean Sydney Australia? I'm sure they have a type of morning glory that grows there naturally as well!
