#amquerying authors: I will be closing my inbox to unsolicited queries at the end of July. My plan is to read through all of the unread queries (and unread full manuscripts) in my inbox and hopefully to reopen my inbox in winter of 2027.

A little insight into why: Very simply, I've received a lot of queries this year. I've been much slower to respond to queries than in previous years and I haven't been able to catch up on my inbox since February, especially because I prioritize reading for my current clients.

I also want to keep my query inbox somewhat predictable. My workflow has consistently been more conducive to reading in the winter/spring than the fall. That may change, but my hope is by opening for several months in the spring every year, querying authors will know when they can reach me.
