Not sure what the current discourse is, but I'll say I don't use AI for any part of my gamedev, music, art, video, or written work. My dayjob forces me to use AI for coding, which I can feel slowly atrophying my coding skills, which is what makes me glad I have gamedev to still flex those skills.

I will admit I have used, in the past (circa 2020/2021 I think), a GAN frame interpolater to play around with adding frames to simple animations I made for my logo and site header, but I have since abandoned that because I prefer the look of the non-interpolated animations.

*Correction: I used the interpolater from 2021 to 2024. I never used it for any assets that made it into any of my video games. It was actually quite limited because it couldn't export transparent gifs, which made it unusable for most of my applications.
