One thing I've been thinking about for several years re. AI, are we ever going to have another new programming language/framework/low-level API take off? So much AI training data is the internet from the past few years, so why ever leave React 18 or Python 3.11? That's gonna be the strength!

I feel that I should clarify, there are few things in technology I hate more than the proliferation of shitty React apps, and if the widespread adoption of AI-assisted development means we're stuck with them until the end of time I will explode lol.

This whole thing has to end eventually. Millionaires are burning more money than AI economics actually generates under the guise that EVENTUALLY, SOME DAY this will recoup the investment and make them more rich. But even rich folks know they are not seeing results as faster as they would like.

From the perspective of economic investment and commercial activity, sure, eventually the "everything must be AI" thing will end. But then you're just left with open-source models anybody can run locally and millions of programmers who want to use them. So I think the question still stands.
