What's worse is the drivers are also losing on a better driving experience and available parking spaces by insisting everyone needs to drive instead of building transit and bike infrastructure.

I spent two weeks exploring Montreal last spring and never got in a car. I took the express bus downtown from the airport and from then on used BIXi, their massive bike-share system to go everywhere day and night. A fantastic experience convinced me that the system should be emulated everywhere.
