I’m assuming people hated Powell at RAR though? Felt rage at what Clapton said? The Anti-Nazi League weren’t rolling around saying “hug a Nazi, hate the fascism!” right? Doesn’t protest build from both love and hate? I mean, I love my lgbtq+ friends and hate the people who’re trying to hurt them.

Oh Dan yes, of course - I too went on that March For Love, Unity & Hope (www.patreon.com/posts/togeth...). But that message badly jarred with all the "Smash Fascism" placards I saw on the day. My own brother's a Yaxley-Lennon supporter: you can be extremely angry with someone without hating them.

I think I’m just grating at the cartoon itself, the “look at these hypocrites” tone, and coming from Grizelda who is actively anti-trans… It’s also the implication that you shouldn’t hate people no matter the scale of damage they cause. Which I just find difficult to ingest.
