So I spent 6 hours today at a couple different archives researching more about Earlington Flats: Renton’s Little Italy. 4 hours in, I’m about to call it a day and someone stops me and asks me what I’m researching. I tell them. They say BRB. They come back with a memoir manuscript on the exact topic!

This was an unpublished memoir manuscript from the 1980s written by a man who passed away 15 years ago on a topic that has zero existing academic literature. And the archivist was just like “yeah, I found it in a box yesterday and now here you are.” What a world!

It looks like the author also wrote this history after a career as a city engineer.
