I guess it's time to learn FamiTracker... (ignore the temporary options menu)

FamiTracker for GBA...? You'd either use hUGETracker with a VGM player engine (for DMG style music), Apex (for .MOD chiptunes) or MaxMod (for .IT chiptunes), typically.

Nah, not literally, I just figured FamiTracker was popular enough that people would understand what I meant. I actually haven't decided yet, but I'm playing around with OpenMPT, Furnace and FastTracker 2. I only need to replace the instruments, add a bit of oomph to the songs, and export to .xm.

Actually, are you going to use the "Super Mario Advance" series SFX for this one? Because the GBA Native part sounds nothing like from the "Super Mario Advance" series in terms of SFX. And the same thing goes for the music. So, I highly recommend using some of the music from this YouTube (1/2)

That we just to test the new sound driver, the final release will use an improved version of the original OST

I've played this game so many times since childhood that I have a deep memory of its mechanics and looks. Your DX version was already amazing, this is next level by all means (pun intended).
