Okay somehow it's Friday and somehow we made it (congrats!) 🤯 To make the doomscroll easier, here's a thread of all the wild stuff we learned this week, starting with @brbarrett.bsky.social's analysis on why DOGE *is* the deep state (and Elon Musk's extended universe.)

And like, oops: A now-deleted list containing hundreds of US government properties GSA plans to sell (under DOGE's vision) includes most of a highly sensitive federal complex that also houses a secretive CIA facility, WIRED has learned. 🫥

And guess what? Social security workers aren't allowed to read this story :( Why? New internet restrictions at the embattled SSA have cut off access to WIRED, along with other “general news” websites like The Washington Post and The New York Times.
