Won't there be any legal problems? If it’s exiting open beta, we writers are not all going to be in legal trouble aren’t we? I am pretty sure I saw somewhere on Quora that there was legal concerns in the beta thing.

AO3 being out of beta does not affect or change our site policies, mission statement, TOS, or non-profit status. This is just an update on our code passing to the next stage of the development cycle! The protection of fanworks archived on AO3 remains the same. - Mod Tiana, OTW Comms

Holy shit!! I know this change is mostly cosmetic but this is so exciting. I’ve been a part of ao3 since 2015, and I have loved watching this site grow and change while still staying true to its core mission. I can’t wait to see the future of Ao3 (and to proudly display my badge everywhere I can 😎)

alpha is the First stage software goes through, usually before it gets released to the public! so it may have already had an alpha, we all saw the beta, so then having a brief omega phase would be it completing the set before it left the greek letters altogether <3
