@alextperry.bsky.social sorry for what might be a dumb question, but what's a "b and b" episode? Heard you both mention that a couple times.

The B&B Special! A term coined by @eatatquarks.bsky.social in episode 8 to describe an episode written by Berman & Braga with teenage boy level sexual themes.

Oh man that's hilarious, sorry for not picking up on that in the earlier episode.

It refers to A and B stories. So, in Breach, the A story is Phlox and the B story is with Trip & Malcolm.

Gut feeling ratings, not using my rewatch scoring system yet. "The Breach" - 3/5 "Cogenitor" - 4.5/5 "Regeneration" - 5/5 "First Flight" - 4.5/5 "Bounty" - 1.5/5 "The Expanse" - 4/5 My favorites: 1️⃣ Series Regular - Scott Bakula in "Regeneration" 2️⃣ Guest Star - Keith Carradine in "First Flight"

The Breach- 3.5 Cogenitor- 4 Regeneration- 4.5 First Flight- 4.5 Bounty- 2.5 The Expanse- 4.5 Series Regular- Phlox across all 6 Guest Star- Forrest First Flight Production- Entire cold open The Expanse Loud- Flippin Duras gets blown up The Expanse Quiet- Phlox letter to son The Breach 👍to final eps

The Breach -4 Phlox stuff was great. Star Trek at its best. The stuff in the mine was dull & annoying though. Cogenitor- 4 Excellent Trek. The tragic ending makes it more powerful Regeneration -4 Despite me not loving Borg or time travel, I really liked this. Linking Borg from FC was genius.

First Flight-2.5 Despite me liking flashbacks & Keith Carradine, this bored me. Also, Archer-Robinson rivalry annoyed me. Bounty—3 Our first Tellarite! I love that! Plus, I like Skalaar’s change of heart. The T’Pol stuff was AWFUL. The Expanse-4 Loved the setup, & mission, not Future Guy

With Cogenitor, I think the better way to have approached that would be for said Cogenitor to maybe get curious about Trip being kind and inquisitive, and give the agency to THAT character to start making waves instead of Trip acting so bullish and insubordinate. I agree, it's not good as is.
