Thinking about ASFF again... I feel like I haven't done enough to prepare it for RPG Limit Break because I haven't completely torn the game apart, know the stats of every ability, and can step route the entire game. That's just not how I speedrun but it means my run is probably not marathon quality

I have it on good authority I could make it into RPGLB with a Lagoon run that's even sort of close to PJ's (I.e. not like 3 hours), so I think you'll be just fine .

as someone on the forefront of virtual hydlide and 7th saga science, there is plenty of room for marathon quality speedruns that are not maximally scienced

This is how Live A Live went. I made a damn good route that found a ton of new tech and used every tool I had available to me, but I was destroyed the first time someone cracked open a RAM editor and manipulated turn orders and made a steproute. I was okay with that; but I didn't do All I Could.
