Ogre Battle 64!! My brother had sold *our* N64 without telling me when we were young and I was like "you are not selling this before I finish this game" and I was just going on vacation so I took it with me and finished the game on like a 7-inch black and white TV in an RV we were staying in.

damn, my brothers are much older than me so I would just inherit whatever system they got bored of lol

I love seeing Final Fantasy X popping up in a lot of people's lists. Even for me it was such a core game as a kid lol.

Oh man Myst, that game was so uncanny and eerie and it wasn't even a horror game. When I was a kid, I was always expecting something to jump out at me on how isolated you were.

Breath of fire rep is so huge for me, I loved 2 on the snes and 3 and four in playstation! I still have my copies all these years later. I blame them for my love for dragons

same, I started playing 3 when I was super young so it definitely made 'secretly a dragon' part of my identity forever

I love that bof3 had such beautifully animated characters but a dumb as fuck clip art looking cover

there were good looking versions in both the US and JP but this is the stupid one I had

Myst is an absolute masterpiece. There are few things I’d love more than to go on a Myst-style adventure. Metroid Fusion and Crash suck, though. Any Metroid that locks you out of backtracking and items is an automatic fail.

I haven't played most of these since I was a kid so I can't necessarily vouch for the quality of the gameplay, but fusion was so huge for me aesthetically/atmospherically. the first time seeing the SA-X is burned into my brain forever. I don't really care about missing some missile upgrades or w/e
