Some of you complain that PageSpeed Insights is a bit unrealistically show for the Lighthouse test. The PSI servers are a bit underpowered so we're changing the throttling, which should make the Performance score go up when this rolls out in the next few weeks. github.com/GoogleChrome... 🧵 1/5

Well the metrics that are used to calibrate the thresholds (developer.chrome.com/docs/lightho...) are based off of @httparchive.org data. These servers are 2-3 times more powerful than the PSI servers so give completely different scores than the calibration date!

Also comparing some of the sites in the 11ty Leaderboard, we seem to get similar numbers to your tests, whereas I think before we got much worse numbers. Check the throttling is at 1.2 to see if you're on the new settings:
