Ad Count is the average number of ads in the viewport. Ad Density is the average % of the viewport area occupied by ads. Ad Weight: Network is the total network KB fetched by ad scripts and frames. Ad Weight: CPU is milliseconds of CPU time used by ads frames. developer.chrome.com/docs/ads 2/8
The metrics are available in the CrUX API and the CrUX History API today and you can view these metrics for sites with third-party ads in CrUX Vis: cruxvis.withgoogle.com We're working on adding them to CrUX BigQuery dataset. 4/8
We've heard from a large cross-section of ad ecosystem stakeholders that these metrics could enhance how they value ad opportunities and make ad product decisions. We're encouraged by this as we think users ultimately benefit from more collective attention paid to tuning web ad experiences. 5/8
