My macbook got stolen off my patio today the one time i forgot to take it in before leaving. Saw a shady dude while leaving and waved and said hello. Tracked it to the ne library. Same dude. Tracked it to the park. Same dude. Confronted him. Got called a stalker. It’s on a tour of ne mpls rn.

It’s encrypted and locked. I’ve disabled all the ssh access it has. Logged out of everything and marked it lost. Only value for him is if someone wants to melt it down. Honestly. He took the laptop but left the beats pros sitting next to it. I should go see if he’ll trade. No interest in cops.

House deductible is $1k and the laptop replacement is $1,299. So that’s not worth it. Dude went to the liquor store before the park and was drinking at the park. Knows me by sight. Probably trying to offload it. Lost message has my contact info and no questions statement.
