Does "signing" that actually work? I mean, I've seen plenty of cases where signing there on Change.org is a waste of time, Google can simply ignore the signatures, as has already happened previously with other companies and other signature collections

Doing nothing is ALWAYS worse. It’s like refusing to vote: you just give up your voice and accept defeat before the fight even starts. Even if mega-corps ignore the public, standing up to be counted is what makes us citizens instead of just dumb passive consumers.

I suppose signing is better than doing nothing, however it's not going to work, of that I'm sure. I don't think this is the way to raise your voice, but people don't care enough to do anything else. (I also think it's unfair to block APKs that aren't from the Play Store)
