pictured: an electron, in two chiral components. much more to say about this later! in this visual language, red + green + blue becomes white: a colour singlet. the open eye represents weak isospin “down”; the sunglasses represent a weak-isospin singlet, neither up nor down.

the electron’s mass couples these two components. one particle, two little creatures :) full design (plain is 1st gen, boots = 2nd gen, hats = 3rd gen)

reading the (super interesting!) slides below gave me some ideas for a visual language for each basis vector in Λℂ⁵ bsky.app/profile/john...

Check out my talk tomorrow! I'm talking 13:00 to 14:00 UK time at the Higgs Centre Seminar Room at the University of Edinburgh, but you can also join online: teams.microsoft.com/meet/3495593... (passcode: ZE3w4xn2) and you can also see my slides: math.ucr.edu/home/baez/pa...

the neutron and proton get a bit complicated, because we get fock space, with sectors, and as far as i understand (i'm not an expert...) in each sector needs to be a colour-singlet.. i'm loving this visual language though!
