Boston and Glasgow are working on a formal sister city agreement, citing the two cities' shared love of innovation, arts, culture and history (Henry Knox, of Dorchester Heights cannon fame, was a Scotsman). Hope to formally sign it on Tartan Day, next April.

More Boston/Scotland ties: Roslindale is named after a Scottish village. Alexander Graham Bell, Edinburgh native, made the first phone call EVAH in downtown Boston while a professor at BU. And JP/WR City Councilor Ben Weber's grandfather was born in Glasgow.
