PSA: July 4th fireworks + heat + extreme drought = a dangerous combo for wildfires. It’s already a really bad year for wildfires. Add in sparks from fireworks, and it could be disastrous. ⬇️

Lauren Lowman, who studies wildfires at Wake Forest University, says there’s a huge annual spike in wildfires on July 4th. Hot, dry conditions send that risk skyrocketing. So don’t risk burning down your neighborhood: leave the fireworks to professionals. ⬇️
