I never let YouTube show me their suggested random videos. If I watch a YouTube video it's from a channel I subscribe to or a precisely searched vided. I've seen way too many gross stuff on YouTube suggestions. I didn't watch the videos themselves but the thumbnails were enough for me to nope out.

My algo has been blessed that it's free of slop when it comes to videos, the ads are absolute cancer tho. Nothing makes me miss YT premium more than those cringe "My Vampire System" ads. The writing is on par with the mobile game ads where ppl brag about their level at a business meeting

I never could get into shorts, a big part being low effort slop or stealing content to post as a "highlight" or something. Plus my audio on my computer is hella cursed and I wish they had an audio slider instead of a mute/unmute button
