Why are people so comfortable straight up copying someone else’s artwork and tagging them crediting them for ‘inspo’ and thinking that’s gives them the green light to make profit off of it? What happened to shame?

let alone communication, exploration, experimentation, perseverance and joy there's like so many mental steps just skipped or not attempted at all

A friend told me “everyone thinks every artwork is a DTIYS challenge” lol Which I think explains a lot by how so many people approach things now. They see good art and just want to replicate it instead of sit there and admire it on their own.

one of my coworker proudly told me “I can only copy things I find on the internet well but i have no creativity! I copy and give them to my friends as gifts 🥰”
