Don't miss what happened in the last weeks - tsdown is now part of VoidZero - Vite Devtools Sneak Peek - oxc-minify in Rolldown - rolldown-vite improvements - ViteConf Speaker Overview - Upcoming meetup in San Francisco - Goxc and Godown More in this thread 👇

tsdown, the spiritual successor to tsup, is now part of the VoidZero family! 🎉 @sxzz.dev will be working on the library bundling solution based on @rolldown.rs, which serves as a foundation for Vite’s library mode. bsky.app/profile/sxzz...

`oxc-minify` is now the recommended minifier when using @rolldown.rs! While continuously tweaking the performance, the minifier is already outperforming `esbuild` in terms of speed and size. Check out the benchmark by @hirok.io for perf comparison. github.com/privatenumbe...

Does this mean minifier is production ready? 👀

A lot of projects use it in prod and getting similar results size-wise and way better results speed-wise. There are still quite some optimizations planned but nothing should stop you from using it!
