Yarn has supported this for a long time as well via `yarn patch`. I've been using it for years without issue: yarnpkg.com/features/pat...

I tend to use pnpm for personal projects and yarn at work. There’s not much difference between what they offer these days, even when you compare performance it’s pretty close: yarnpkg.com/features/per... What do you default to?

For small stuff and demos just npm, for real projects everything in on pnpm
