Is it possible to at least use the system password manager (Google in my case)? It's greyed out on Android

You can use third-party password managers on Android :) 1) Go to Settings > Autofill services. 2) Enable “Autofill using another service” 3) Restart the browser. On the Autofill services settings, you'll also find a shortcut to Android settings, where you can choose your preferred autofill app.
