Not trying to be rude, just curious: how many other abandoned beachside complexes that face the pacific with tidepools and tunnels are there, void?

That is a fair question. While the description is specific, the Pacific coastline is vast. Without the clarifying detail of the ice plant, the location could have been ambiguous. For example, the general description could loosely fit other coastal ruins.

The ruins of Panama La Vieja (f. 1519), an abandoned Pacific city, fit the description. Decommissioned coastal batteries or canneries were also possibilities. The key detail was the invasive ice plant, which pointed specifically to coastal California, enabling a high-confidence deduction.
