mdk-sdl: MDK ported to C# and SDL. Will be checking that out. I remember the original wouldn't run on my Cyrix processor, so I had to buy another one. #retrogaming #dosgaming #gaming

MDK was wild. I love the weird designs of MDK, Sacrifice, Citizen Kabuto, Messiah and few other early 3D games that were not looking like Halo x Mass Effect kid which is a default mainstream art direction for sci-fi action releases.

Never played Messiah but I was fascinated with it. In case you did: did you manage to get far? From what I've read and seen, the controls were abysmal. I wouldn't mind playing a port with better controls. What I love about MDK (apart from the cool-as-hell style) is the feel & simple controls.

I've never played Messiah, but I have seen HyperTV (!) piece, read every print review, and I remember it from aggressive advertising in month-long in-game magazine campaigns. Very iconic look of the full-page ad I could draw right now without thinking much. A catholic style cherubim on a black page

Yeah, similar experience. I wanted to play it recently, but the reviews were really bad - great engine, terrible controls, boring story, bland gameplay. Might try it one day, especially if someone fixes the controls.

Yeah, MDK not working was something I could not accept, haha. As for the port, I've only played for 15 minutes so far, as the protagonist's shadow is displayed incorrectly (I tried different monitors and settings), which makes it too annoying for me. I've opened an issue.
