the drone is so fun, that's the type of additional content that's great for vrc+. Every world I go to now, I just look for fun drone spots.

After playing around it for a bit, selfie expression feels like such an essential feature, that I can't imagine coming back to the game without it. I hope it comes to public sooner than the certain feature that's also been locked behind early access for a while.

If the avatar had lipsync visemes and eyelook set up in the SDK it should work with Selfie Expression. If you mean future features beyond the level of Selfie Expression, we're exploring that but something like that would likely need an updated SDK (so a re-upload of the avatar)

Kinda disappointed all these features are locked behind a subscription, (particularly the selfie one, but at least that won't be forever.) I did notice one change not mentioned that I like: the face mirror can be moved closer to the sides of the screen now. It looks more natural to me that way.
