🚀 See what your subagents are doing in real time, use built-in dictation across VS Code, and streamline docs with the hybrid Markdown editor. 🧵 Here's what's new in the latest VS Code release:

🤖 Check subagent progress at a glance in the Agents window (preview). See its model, elapsed time, and active tool call directly in the main conversation, then open the chat only when you need the full context.

🎙️ Dictate in chat, editors, and the terminal with built-in dictation. A shared speech session follows you across chat, editors, and the terminal, while private, offline transcription keeps your audio on your device.

📝 Work on Markdown files and agent feedback in one place. The new hybrid Markdown editor in the Agents window lets you edit in place, add comments for the agent to act on, and switch views with Reopen Editor With when needed.
