🚀 The latest VS Code release brings new ways to work with pull requests, agents, and related chats. 🎬 This week, we’re premiering The Story of VS Code on September 4. 🧵 Here’s what’s new: aka.ms/VSCode/136

🔀 Need help getting a pull request ready to merge? Agent Merge is now available in Preview and can address review comments, fix failed checks and merge conflicts, and rerun workflows until the PR is ready. Enable ⚙️ chat agentMerge

🌳 Navigating multi-chat sessions? See chats organized under their parent session, with a title, status, and pending approvals for each chat. Open, rename, or delete chats directly from the tree.

🎨 Want to personalize the Agents window? Chat backgrounds are now available experimentally. Add a Codicons pattern or an image from your machine, with separate backgrounds for light and dark themes. Right-click the Agents window background to choose a background.
