🚀 The latest VS Code release makes it easier to work across repositories and worktrees and delegate tasks to remote agent hosts. 🧵 Here’s what’s new: code.visualstudio.com/updates/v1_140

🌐 Delegate agent tasks to connected remote hosts from the Agents window. Your agent can automatically place work based on available resources, including OS, memory, CPU, model, and current session load.

🔁 Skip repeated installs when creating new worktrees. Reuse ignored folders across worktrees to avoid reinstalling dependencies or duplicating large build artifacts.

🤖 Continue the same Copilot agent session across the editor and Agents window. Select the Copilot harness in the chat input to keep working with the same session in either one.

🧠 Let HydraFusion orchestrate multiple models on your coding task. It can choose the model and workflow for the task, then ask another model to critique and revise the result. Research Preview.

🗂️ Work across repositories or separate worktrees from one agent session. Each chat can use its own folder or worktree, with its own terminal, changes, tasks, and pull request. Enable ⚙️ chat agentHost copilotAgent multiRoot in your user settings.json
