I don’t understand how my Republican colleagues could hold hands with their fellow legislators, say a long prayer, and then vote to cut a trillion dollars out of Medicaid. There ought to be a connection between what you say on Sunday and what you do on Monday.

That would mean their religious practice wasn’t a show for the voters when indeed they demonstrate they have only greed and power as their “god”.

I hate to say it, but the hypocrisy has always been a feature of the performative Christian movement. I saw it in my teens. It was okay to talk to me at church but when we went to school the next day, I was invisible. I am now anti-organized religion to my core.
