* Osama bin Laden justified the 9-11, 2001 terrorist attacks by citing U.S. foreign policy in the Middle East, which he viewed as a direct, violent assault on the Muslim world. *

* September 11, 2001, New York City clear, crisp weather pattern referred to in aviation terms as "severe clear." Temperatures in the mid-to-upper 60s (°F). By 8:51 a.m. (just minutes after the first plane struck), Central Park was 68°F (20°C), JFK Airport & Newark Airport reported 73°F *

I saved the newspapers from the next few days afterwards, but years later when we moved, I had so much stuff to go through and move, I tossed them. I wish now that I hadn't done that.

As someone who stood in the middle of 9th at 14th Street watching as the towers burned and then collapsing; the shock, awe and sudden despair of the realization that we were attacked, changed me completely as nothing has since that tragic day. 9/11 Lives in Me FOREVER. #September11 #Honor911

I remember where I was and how none of us could believe. Canadians felt the shock and pain too. Hard to believe we went from supportive caring neighbour-partners to where things are today. Sadly remembering all those lives lost. I'll never forget that day.
